The World Explorers Approach
World Explorers is both a program and a philosophy.
Our pedagogy is rooted in the belief that children are naturally curious and ready to learn. They are eager to understand people, places, languages, stories, and ways of living that may be different from their own—and they deserve access to learning environments that honor that curiosity with care and intention.
Rather than teaching about the world in a rigid or academic way, we create experiences that help children feel connected to it.
This might look like:
-
Exploring movement, music, and storytelling inspired by different cultures
-
Engaging with guest artists, educators, and caregivers who bring lived experiences into the space
-
Building early empathy through shared rituals, collaboration, and imaginative play
The goal is not mastery or memorization. The goal is openness, confidence, and a sense of belonging in a wider world.

Learning Through Community
Community is at the heart of everything we do.
Our classrooms are enriched by the people who enter them. The unique contributions of our families, caregivers, and guests naturally shapes the learning environment, allowing children to encounter many ways of being, communicating, and caring.
This inclusivity is not a theme or a weekly focus—it is part of our daily rhythm and company culture.
Children learn from one another, from trusted adults, and from the relationships they observe forming around them.
By seeing caregivers engage, collaborate, and share space respectfully, children internalize a powerful message: learning is something we do together.

Our Founders

Our Promise
At World Explorers, children are not rushed toward outcomes. They are invited into experiences that help them see themselves as capable learners and connected members of a larger world.
We are committed to building spaces where curiosity is protected, differences are respected, and learning feels expansive rather than prescriptive.
This is the foundation of our programs and the culture behind everything we create.

AccreditationS

ACA accreditation verifies that a camp has complied with up to 290 standards for health, safety, and program quality, which are recognized by courts of law and government regulators.
The American Camp Association collaborates with experts from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Red Cross, and other youth-serving agencies to assure that current practices at ACA-Accredited® camps reflect the most up-to-date, research-based standards in camp operation
Accreditation is a parent’s best evidence of a camp’s commitment to health and safety.
ACA-accreditation standards cover all aspects of camp operation from site/food service and health care to management and staffing.
ACA accreditation assures parents that the camp has had a regular, independent peer review that goes beyond regulations in most states.
Parents can (and should) verify the accreditation status of any camp at any time. This may be accomplished through ACA's website at www.ACAcamps.org (Click on Find A Camp!) or by calling 800-428-CAMP.
