At World Explorers After School, every afternoon becomes a journey of discovery. From the depths of the oceans to the far reaches of space—and everywhere in between—our Explorers set off on dynamic adventures that spark curiosity and creativity.
Over the course of the school year, children explore global wonders, taste international cuisines, dive into the diversity of our planet’s environment, and investigate the marvels of science and storytelling. Along the way, they begin to see themselves not just as students, but as changemakers in a global community. Our mission is to nurture a love of learning, adventure, and cultural curiosity in every child who joins us.
Each afternoon’s classes also include time for snacks, homework support (if needed), and unstructured free play—ensuring a balanced, joyful experience every day.

We adhere to the Department of Health guidelines and known best practices in early childhood development which require additional care requirements for 3K/UPK-4 students. Our younger group requires a smaller counselor to child ratio and team members with dedicated experience in early childhood education to successfully manage their needs and capabilities. Our tuition pricing factors these required and necessary staffing supports into account, which results in a higher tuition for our preschool students.
- 13
Our trimester program tuition is reflective of the trimester number of days that school is in session in the school calendar year, and does not include holidays or scheduled days off. As some months have less or more weeks or holidays, we calculate our program tuition as a trimester whole.
- 14

Yes!
Our program is nut-free.
As part of our application process, we ask if your child has any allergies, carries an Epi-pen, and a detailed description of their allergies. We use this information to include your child's details in our site's allergy postings, snack planning including where your child sits for snack times, and counselor notifications.
If your child has an allergy treatment plan provided by your child's pediatrician, we use this information for counselor training and guidance to ensure that your child remains safe while in our care. Please ensure that your most updated allergy treatment plan remains on file with us.
Our staff is Epi-pen trained, has current CPR training, and has updated training on how to respond to any on-site emergencies.

We understand that this may be the first year for many of our little Explorers (3K, 4K, & K) navigating a full school day along with after school activities. Every child may be at a different place in their potty training journey towards being able to utilize the bathroom facilities without assistance. We are here to help support our Explorers when accidents do arise.
How We Assist Children in the Bathroom:
Our counselors will guide children to the restroom and provide assistance through audible and demonstrative instructions and coaching to help guide their restroom routine and ensure that they are following adequate sanitary steps as developmentally appropriate. Due to the setup of the bathrooms at our location, we do not have access to changing tables or other specialized facilities. It is essential that your child has a full change of clothing readily available in their backpack.
What is Considered a Bathroom Accident?
A bathroom accident is when a child is unable to make it to the restroom in time or has a mishap while using the restroom, resulting in soiled clothes or undergarments. Accidents may occur during the school day, during the transition to after school, or during the after school program. We understand that accidents happen, and our staff is here to assist your child with care and discretion.
We kindly request that all parents provide a full change of clothes for their child, including:
A full outfit (shirt, pants, etc.)
Extra pull-ups (if needed)
Extra underwear
These items should be stored in your child’s backpack, separate from the supplies you provide to their classroom teacher for the school day. This will allow us to quickly access the necessary items during after school hours without any delays.
- 33
We understand things happen and offer a 5-minute grace period. Please let us know if you are running late by reaching out to your child's counselor via the Brightwheel App. After the grace period the late fees as outlined in the After School Adventures Parent Guide will be applied to your account.
- 34
World Explorers requires a valid medical form on file to attend any of our programs.
The medical form must be dated within one year of the date of attendance. The date of the physical exam is the date recognized by the DOH. Immunization records and visit summaries do not suffice for a valid medical form.
Forms that expire during the school year must be updated at the time of expiration. Families with upcoming expiration dates will be notified by their site supervisor at the beginning of the month of expiration that a new form needs to be submitted.
Students with invalid forms will resume being picked up by Explorers staff once a valid form is received.
- 35
You may upload a PDF file of the medical form to the website.
