Program offerings

Afterschool Adventures is World Explorers daily after school program. Afterschool Adventures operates on a trimester schedule offering care during the Fall, Winter, and Spring from the time of school dismissal through 6pm. Families can choose to enroll in 1- 5 days each trimester period. Explorers provides after school care Monday through Friday, including permitted partial school days. World Explorers ACC (Added Care Club) offers an extended care option for families who may only desire to enroll their children in special interest classes, but also need childcare before and after the end of their enrolled special interest class. During the special interest trimester period, ACC families will receive care from our Afterschool Adventures staff from the time of their special interest class dismissal through 6pm. Families may choose to enroll in the ACC program 1-5 days each trimester period on days that a child is enrolled in a special interest class. World Explorers ACC program students participate in the day’s enrichment activities, homework help and play time during ACC hours. Learn more about ACC (Added Care Club) and register below.

World Explorers has partnered with experts from various organizations, the PS 38 teacher team, and select World Explorers team members to offer crafted classes that allow students to take a deep dive into their current special interests. Special interest classes are offered as scheduled Monday through Friday and run for a select period of time within the After School trimester period. Classes vary in length and price. World Explorers flexible after school Drop In Care offers families the opportunity to utilize the Afterschool Adventures program on days they are not currently enrolled. Drop in care registration is available online up to 24 hours prior to the requested date. Drop in care is $50 per session. Discounted drop in packs of 5,10, and 20 are available to utilize throughout the school year and can be shared between siblings. Drop in Care is not available for the special interest classes or ACC (Added Care Club) program. Learn more about drop in care and register below.

Site Supervisor

My name is Curt Jack

Mr. Curt is the PS 38 Site Supervisor. As your Site Supervisor, Mr. Curt will support the daily after school program by supervising the on-site staff, working as an on-site liaison between PS 38 school leadership and World Explorers leadership, and handling parent inquiries regarding admissions, student support, and program safety. Mr. Curt is dedicated to providing exceptional support and ensuring a positive experience for students, parents, faculty, and staff.
